Beech Avenue Elementary offers families and community members multiple opportunities the opportunity to visit the site and talk with us about the direction of the school and how to address the needs of the students.
Some of the opportunities to participate at Beech are:
- Coffee with the Principal - this is an opportunity to sit down with the principal and hear about the direction of the school, offering resources to families, and checking the pulse of the community.
- Monthly PSTA meetings - parents, students, and teachers are welcome to come learn about opportunities to raise funds for field trips, learn how to volunteer at Beech, or just catch up on the happenings here at the school.
- Father-Volunteer Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) - male role models are welcome to come help at any time or any day they have available. Some of the activities they can support Beech in are morning drop off, afternoon pick up, recesses, or lunches. At recess and lunch male role models are asked to engage with students and have some fun or offer encouragement.
- English Language Advisory Committee - parents of English Language learners can participate in talking about data to offer recommendations to School Site Council to give our English language students the opportunity to succeed.
- School Site Council - this opportunity gives parents and teachers the chance to address the needs of the school through a school wide plan that is agreed upon and implemented the coming school year.
There are also some more informal opportunities to join us as well:
- Student of the Month assemblies
- Family Lunch events
- Fall Festival
- and more!
