Welcome to Our Elementary School Library!

Dear Parents,

Our school library is a special place where a love for reading and learning comes to life! Each week, every class has a designated time to visit, check out books, and enjoy a read-aloud or a fun activity. It’s a space filled with stories, creativity, and discovery, helping our students grow into lifelong readers.

We also host exciting events throughout the year to make reading even more magical! Below are some of the fun activities we’ve enjoyed in our library. Stay tuned for more adventures to come!

Thank you for supporting our young readers!

Musical Chairs in the Library

Musical Chairs:

As an introduction lesson the library held a musical chairs event in the library for grades Kinder - 2nd grade.

Musical chairs is more than just a fun activity; it's a wonderful learning tool for students. Through this game, students can practice listening to instructions carefully, which is vital for following classroom guidelines. The need to swiftly sit down and avoid being left out emphasizes attentiveness. Additionally, musical chairs teaches children the importance of sharing and getting along with friends, as they learn to take turns and support each other. By engaging in this playful exercise, students also cultivate a sense of responsibility and respect for communal items, like books, by understanding the value of taking care of shared resources.

Libraries are more than just buildings filled with books—they are gateways to knowledge, imagination, and endless possibilities. Each book is a journey waiting to be taken, a lesson waiting to be learned, and a story waiting to be heard. Libraries welcome everyone, offering a quiet refuge, a spark of inspiration, and a place where dreams take shape. In their pages, we find comfort, adventure, and wisdom, reminding us that the power of words can change the world.

Book Tasting Event

Book Tasting is a fantastic way to encourage a love for reading in students from 3rd to 6th grade. This event allows children to sample a variety of books in a fun, café-style setting. By exploring different genres and authors, students can discover new interests and expand their literary horizons. It's an engaging activity that promotes excitement for reading, enhances comprehension skills, and fosters a lifelong love for books. Parents can support this initiative by encouraging their children to participate and sharing their own love of reading at home.
