Greetings Beech Avenue Families,

At Beech Avenue Elementary, we know that raising and teaching kids takes teamwork — and I’m so grateful for the partnership we have with you. Every time you show up, ask questions, or simply encourage your child to do their best, it makes a difference. Our success as a California Distinguished School begins with you!

At our last Coffee with the Principal, we talked about helping children manage stress, build resilience, and find balance. One big part of that is setting healthy limits around technology. Screens are here to stay, but it’s up to us to guide how our kids use them. Encourage your child to unplug sometimes — go outside, play, read, draw, talk, create. That’s where confidence, curiosity, and real connection grow.

And remember — input determines output. The music, videos, and conversations that fill their day shape their thoughts and attitudes. Ask your child what they’re watching or what songs they love right now. Those little check-ins help them know you care and help you guide what’s shaping their world.
